The information we collect and the manner in which it is collected
When you visit our website, our web server automatically records the name of your Internet service provider, the website from which you are contacting us, the pages of the website that you visit and the date and length of your visit.
If you propose this, we will store additional information about you such as, for example, information concerning your online registration for our newsletter, for games and competitions, surveys or polls, etc. We collect the following type of information about you: last name and first name, screen name, password, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number in addition to data necessary to the provision of our products and the performance of our services. We also collect other information, including your interests, preferences, purchasing trends, information concerning transactions and demographic information (such as for example your age or sex, etc.). We may also add information which we receive online or via other means (e-mails, etc.) to other data in order to create your corresponding customer profile.
You also have the possibility of submitting information concerning other people in order to enable them to receive information about our products or services. You should obtain the express authorisation of these people before submitting any information to us concerning them. The information collected concerning other people includes their last name and first name, telephone number, address, e-mail address and interests.
Cookies and web beacons
We send cookies to your computer chiefly with the aim of maximising your online experience. These cookies take the form of archives identifying you as a unique client and storing your personal preferences in addition to any information of a technical nature (including click or page visit type data). The cookies are either permanent (in other words they remain on your computer until you delete them) or temporary (in this case they only remain active until you turn off your web browser). We may also use web beacons which are used to verify the manner in which you use our website. Web beacons (or web bugs) are short series of codes allowing the transfer of data such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer which downloaded the page on which the web beacons are displayed, the time at which the page containing the beacons was viewed, the type of web browser which downloaded the beacon and the identification number of any cookie saved beforehand on the computer by the said server. When we correspond with you by e-mail (HTML compatible), the beacons inform us whether or not you have received our e-mail and if you have opened it.
When used alone, the cookies or web beacons neither contain nor reveal any personally identifiable information. However, if you choose to supply the site with personally identifiable information, this information may be linked to the data stored in the cookies/web beacons.
By accepting the present Privacy Protection Rules, you expressly agree that we may use our cookies and web beacons as described in the present document. You may configure your browser to reject our beacons or those of any other website. Furthermore, you can avoid the use of certain beacons if you configure your web browser in such a way as to be able to display e-mails saved in HTML as "Text only". Please consult your browser's "Help" section for further information. However, certain areas of our sites can only be accessed with beacons or similar tools, and you should be aware that if you deactivate the beacons or similar tools you run the risk of not being able to access certain areas of the site.

This information will be used in compliance with these Privacy Protection Rules. Please note that we are not responsible for the use of your personal information by third parties when you make such information available to the said third party via discussion groups, BBS or forums etc., on our sites.
Why do we use your information?
We collect information in order that we may: supply you with the services or products you request (such as sending you our newsletters or details of the films, TV programmes or other products or services of interest to you, by e-mail or by other electronic means); enable you to participate in recreational activities on the site, in promotional campaigns, and to manage our relationship with you; keep you informed of changes occurring on our websites; inform you of products, services, promotions, offers and competitions which may be of interest to you; answer all of your questions; develop a more direct relationship with you for the purposes described in this section; develop your online customer profile and understand the current trends and habits of our consumers in order that we may develop and implement on-going marketing strategies.
We use cookies and technical information in order to personalize your visit to our website (for example: we recognise you via your name when you come back to our site); to analyse traffic on the website and to keep up-to-date with our customers’ trends and habits. This enables us to improve the design and content of our website for the benefit of our visitors, in addition to supporting our marketing initiatives.
How is the information distributed?
We store the information concerning you in a database located in France. The various units within LDM Productions, who agree to abide by the present Privacy Protection Rules, may access your data and use it for the purposes described in this document and/or elsewhere on our website when you send us your data.
We are allowed to supply information concerning you to third parties in conformity with the requirements detailed in the applicable laws and regulations or following legal decisions, as well as when you act (or are presumed to have acted) in a manner contravening our terms of use, including by causing damage or losses to our site and/or to the server and/or disturbing (or causing losses or damage to) ourselves or other users of the site. We share information concerning visits to the present site anonymously and globally with third parties, including advertisers, commercial partners and sponsors, with the goal of understanding the trends and habits of consumers and in order to manage and improve our business relationships.
We circulate the information concerning you to third parties who will manage and use it for the purposes described in the present Privacy Protection Rules and we also share details with third parties (for example auditors or legal advisers) in order to obtain professional advice. This action is governed by an agreement stipulated by the law, which protects all of the privacy protection rights concerning you.
The situation may arise that we merge with or are acquired by another commercial entity. In as far as the law authorises this, and in conformity with the terms of the present Privacy Protection Rules, we may share the information in our possession concerning you with the entities concerned.
Links, advertisers, sponsors and ad servers
Our site may include links to other websites which are not protected by these Privacy Protection Rules, or for which the information management practices employed may be different to our own. Visitors should pay careful attention to warnings concerning confidentiality protection provided by other sites as we are not liable for this and have no control over the information submitted or collected by third-party sites.
We occasionally offer content on this site which is sponsored by (or cobranded with) identified third parties. For a number of our sites, trusted third parties may offer or place advertisements subject to different usage terms and different Privacy Protection Rules. The present Privacy Protection Rules do not cover any use of information which the ad servers of the said third parties may collect from you.

Furthermore, we will always provide you with the possibility to update your preferences concerning the use we make of your information. To protect your privacy and your security, we will take reasonable measures to verify your identity before allowing access.
Please write to contact@ldmproductions.fr if you have any other questions concerning the personal data concerning you stored by us in conformity with local laws.
Children
We believe that it is very important that children should be able to use our sites in a reasonable manner. We therefore encourage children to seek their parents’ permission before supplying any personally identifiable information. We also encourage parents to carefully monitor their children's online activities, by using (for example) the parental control tools available via online services or software manufacturers, which make it possible to create pleasant online environments for youngsters. These tools may also be used to prevent children from divulging their name, address and other personally identifiable information online without their parents’ consent.
The protection of your children's privacy is very important to us. We are committed to protecting the personal data collected online concerning children and to helping both parents and their children to learn how to control personal details while surfing the web. To achieve this, we take additional measures to protect the privacy of our youngest visitors.
Visitors to the present site may take part in a number of activities without supplying personally identifiable information. However, if a user wishes to participate in certain interactive activities, we ask the users concerned to supply us with certain information such as the user’s e-mail address and age.

Are you ready...?!
AFD stands for the Agence Française de Développement. AFD is a public development-finance institution that has worked to fight poverty and support economic growth in developing countries and the French Overseas Communities for more than 60 years. AFD executes the French government’s development aid policies.
With offices in more than 50 countries, AFD finances and supports projects that improve people’s living conditions, promote economic growth and protect the planet. AFD-funded projects provide schooling for children, support farmers and small businesses, supply drinking water, preserve tropical forests and fight climate change, among other things.
AFD committed nearly €4.5 billion to financing aid activities in developing countries and the French Overseas Communities in 2008. The funds should help 7 million children go to school, give 4.4 million people access to drinking water and create or save jobs for 370,000 workers engaged in private enterprise; funding for energy efficiency projects will save 3.3 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
